Over the past 48 hours McGee has went from his playful, sweet, loving self to almost unresponsive, lethargic, and not himself.

I took him to this regular vet yesterday morning after he threw up and didn’t eat for an entire day. I could tell he was also becoming lethargic. The vet did some bloodwork to send off and that was it. We were sent home.

Later that night he threw up 3 more times and became even more lethargic. He wasn’t moving around much and had sunken eyes. I ended up taking him to the ER. There, they ran some tests which all came back normal, he just had a fever. They gave him IV fluids, some meds, and sent him home.

I was up and down all night long to check on him, he stayed in once place on the floor all night long. This wasn’t like him, he is usually right with me. This morning when I woke up he was still in the same spot, felt feverish, and was like a ragdoll. I then noticed he was shivering and just not any better, he was worse.

I scooped him up and took him right back to the ER. That’s where he is now. His temperature is at a dangerous level, and he hasn’t eaten or drank for 48hrs. We don’t know exactly what is wrong but they are running a bunch of tests. He has to stay there a couple of nights for close monitoring.

Anybody who knows me, knows that him and Joplin (pig) are my babies. They are best friends. I am tore up from the floor up. I want my baby to be better and to be home.

as you can imagine the vet bill is NOT little. It’s $7000+ not counting the amount paid for the other two visits, and it is putting financial strain on me. I was out of work two weeks ago for a training that I didn’t get paid for, and was out all week afterwards for being sick. I know times are hard for everyone, but if you could spare just $1 or $100 any amount for be helpful and appreciated.
