Hey everyone! I wanted to update everyone on what has been going on and give some good news! First thing, I have procedure to get my paritonel dialysis port to switch to be able to do dialysis at home instead of in a clinic! And so that it won’t be as painful! My main news is that today they sent in a referral for me to get back on the transplant list! For anyone that wanted to try to donate please message me, I have some cards and information about starting the process to donate! Thank you again everyone that has donated and supported us through this whole process and couple months! If anyone has questions please message me!

Hey again everyone! I have another update! I have been in the hospital since Sunday due to my stomach issues! But throughout the past few days my doctors and my family decided that it would be good for me to start dialysis sooner then we thought! Today they told us that I am going to get a line in my chest tomorrow morning and then start hemodialysis! I will be here at least another week or so to make sure everything goes well! At some point down the road I will have a meeting with a surgeon to talk about getting a fistula. Again thank you to everyone for the support through everything and all the kind messages!

Hello, my name is Mazzy Goodwin-Fortier. I have Stage 4 Kidney Failure. I first found out about my disease when I was in seventh grade in 2016. I had my first transplant that same year, six months after I was diagnosed. I went to high school, and in tenth grade, my kidney failed again. I had my second transplant in 2021.

On July 15th, 2025, my family and I found out that my kidney has failed again. The doctors told me that they cannot give me medication to get my kidney healthy again and that we will need to get a new transplant and possibly do dialysis. We are looking for any financial help available to allow us to focus on my health and recovery. I currently am living in Lakewood in an apartment with my boyfriend Jaden and my two dogs, Max and Luna. I am working part-time, trying to recover and keep my body healthy in the meantime. Jaden works full-time and is mostly supporting us, but we are currently struggling financially due to past and future hospital visits that cause us to miss work. Please consider helping if you can.
