UPDATE:
Mazey’s first surgery for the biopsy was completely covered. I can’t express my gratitude for helping lighten this financial burden. Her amputation is scheduled for Monday, December 16.
Meet Mazey, my three year old rescue from Aruba. On November 5th, I noticed a lump on her, we had a biopsy done last week, and I have received the soul crushing news that the pathologist found spindle cells which are indicative of cancer of the connective tissue in her front, right leg. Where the tumor is on her leg, they cannot remove it. Best option is to amputate, which is extremely invasive and expensive. She is my best friend, and she is only 3 years old. You truly don’t think that something like this will happen to you, until it does. While the cancer diagnosis was a throat punch, her veterinarian believes amputation will clear the cancer. I would do anything for her including racking up debt. I know this is a massive ask before Christmas, but if anyone can donate anything, or just share this I would appreciate it more than words can explain.
