I'm sharing a heartfelt cause to support a great friend and an amazing human being as she navigates through this new chapter in life.

Mayra is hardworking, kind, funny, full of life, selfless, and doesn’t let anything knock her down—she ALWAYS finds a way. That’s why she’s accomplished so much in life. She became a commercial pilot early in life. She's also served as an interpreter and a project manager. She's dedicated to the food industry and has been a bartender, supervisor, chef, and more. She’s also an amazing mom to her 11-year-old daughter Zoe, who she’s raising by herself and doing an excellent job at it! Mayra has not had the easiest of lives, but that’s never stopped her from pulling herself up by the bootstraps… until now.

In 2024, she was diagnosed with liver disease and was told that she didn’t have long to live. Her health deteriorated rapidly. So much so that she had to send Zoe to live with family in Arizona as she couldn't work. The doctors in Pennsylvania couldn’t give her the treatment she needed as the health system has a lot of restrictions for international residents. So, she had to leave everything behind and move to Arizona with the support of her family.

Well, while in Arizona, she caught the flu and had to be admitted to the hospital. It was in that hospital that she finally began getting answers! Here, the doctors were thankfully able to help her find a way to obtain the medical treatment that she requires. She's now a high-priority candidate for a liver transplant, which is AMAZING and can happen any day. But in the meantime, they put her on temporary medication, which has helped her condition, but unfortunately, the side effect of the medicine has caused her to lose hearing in both ears.

Mayra hasn't been able to work in over a year and had to sell everything she owned to cover just some of the expenses. She needs YOUR help!
