My sister, Mayra, is fighting stage 4 cancer, and our family is going through one of the hardest moments of our lives.
She is a mother to several children, but her youngest son is just 11 years old and still needs her every day. More than anything, she is fighting to be here for them.
Mayra has been diagnosed with a rare cancer called PIMHEC (metastatic pilomatrix-like high-grade endometrial carcinoma, stage 4, grade 3). Fewer than 30 cases have been reported worldwide, which makes treatment complex.
Her situation is urgent. She is no longer eligible for short-term disability and has applied for SSDI, but the approval process can take 4–5 months.
To continue care, she is paying for COBRA insurance so she can stay with the doctors who know her case and are treating her. Keeping her care consistent is critical.
We are raising funds to help cover:
• Medical treatments and hospital visits
• Medications and ongoing care
• COBRA insurance premiums
• Basic living expenses
Every donation, no matter the size, helps ensure she can continue treatment without interruption.
If you are unable to donate, sharing this page or keeping her in your thoughts and prayers means a lot to us.
Thank you for your support during this time.
