Maybree Smith, a Junior at Dresden High School, has been a patient at LeBonheur since she was born. She was born with Tetralogy of Fallot and CHD (Congenital Heart Disease). At this time, Maybree is being homeschooled because her little heart is weak. Everything that can be done with medication has been done. She will be undergoing open-heart surgery on November 25th at LeBonheur in Memphis. If this doesn’t work, she will be put on the transplant list.

This will be Maybree’s 10th surgery relating to her heart condition. Lauri Hornsby is her grandmother and one of my dearest friends. She will be off work for a while to take care of Maybree during and after her surgery.

Lauri Hornsby works at Tates Family Foods in Greenfield and is one of the sweetest souls you'll ever meet. I personally have done fundraisers with her for others needing help in the community of Dresden, Tennessee / Weakley County area. She will help anyone; now it’s our turn to help her. Bills pile up quickly when you have to be off work for a while. It helps so much to have a community that rallies around you and helps.

Please make a donation if you can. I personally know every dollar will be appreciated and used for the sole purpose of helping Lauri with Maybree’s needs, pay bills while off work.

i would like to Challenge anyone who has lost a Loved One to a Heart Defect or Heart Disease to make a Donation In Memory of your Special Person. Whether is $5 or $500, it will add up to help this precious family. I have always said, where there is a little giving the end result will be A LOT !
