Support Maya's Recovery from House Fire

Hi! My name is Maya. I recently endured a house fire and lost many of the items in my home, including clothes, laptops, a TV, and more. The few items that I was able to salvage are covered in heavy black dust and smog with an unbearable smell that is a constant reminder that I now have no place to call home. It’s so difficult for me for to go back into the place I use to call home as I salvage through what it usable and what’s not. The damages to my home are so extensive it is now unfit to live in and unfortunately, I have been having trouble finding a new place to call home. The fire occurred a week before my 25th birthday and within my last year of grad school which has made this such a difficult and busy time for me. This is the first ever house fire that I have experienced so it has took a huge toll on my life. I am now bouncing from place to place trying to find places to rest and find resources.

There are some valuables I’ll never be able to recover like family photos. However, with your help I can recover my other items and cover some of my living expenses such as food, school supplies, clothing, & shelter which would help me a lot through such a difficult time.
