Support Maya's Recovery from Apartment Fire

My name is Maya. On Monday, Jan 20, there was a fire in my apartment building. I smelled it and checked just in time for firefighters to get me out of my apartment.

Though my apartment was not completely lost in the fire, they did have to knock out my ceiling in both bedrooms and walls in the bathrooms. The electric was burnt up in the building, so the apartment is also unable to be fixed.

I’m raising money to help with moving, shelter, food, and replacing the things insurance doesn’t.

I do have renters insurance, but they only reimburse after you spend a certain amount. They don’t cover groceries, even when I just bought groceries the day before the fire happened.

I’ve had to miss work for 3 days due to not having all my equipment as well.

I will be adding an Amazon wishlist for things I need to replace once I have a place to receive things.
