Hi, my name is Maya. I am currently a junior getting ready to head into my senior year of high school. This past year, I have been working extremely hard on gathering activities and programs to add to my college applications, including volunteering pretty much everywhere possible. I am currently a junior volunteer at my local hospital, a tech volunteer at my local senior center, and an assistant Sunday school teacher at my church.

While these activities are very beneficial to my college apps, I have also been looking for opportunities that allow me to work towards my dream of becoming a lawyer. I have been looking for internships or college programs to help me achieve my goals. To my surprise, I was selected to attend a Pre-law program at a university in Upstate New York. If you know me personally, going to New York and specifically NYU has always been a dream of mine ever since I grasped the concept of what college is.

This program is an excellent opportunity for me to experience what a real college campus would be like and also allow me to gain education and experience to put towards my dream of working as a lawyer. And today, I am asking if you can find it in your heart to donate or spread the message of this GoFundMe to those around you. I'm asking this because I would like to alleviate some of the financial stressors that I can see are currently weighing on my family.
