Support Maya — The Nanny Who Has Raised a Village
Maya is the kind of person every parent hopes their children will have in their lives. For years, she has cared for our kids as if they were her own. But Maya didn’t just watch our children — she built a community around them. Every day she brings together a group of nannies and kids at the park, where little ones grow up side-by-side, learning kindness, friendship, and curiosity about the world. From story time and playground adventures to summer trips to the zoo and museums, Maya turns ordinary days into meaningful experiences for the children she cares for. The kids adore her. Families trust her. She has truly helped raise a village.
At home, Maya is also raising three children of her own, two daughters in high school and a son in middle school, while continuing to show up for everyone around her with generosity and love. Just before Christmas, Maya was diagnosed with Stage 2 uterine cancer with a teratoma tumor. She has already undergone radiation and immunotherapy, but those treatments were not successful, and she is now preparing to begin chemotherapy. As she focuses on treatment and recovery, Maya will need to take time away from work. Her upcoming out-of-pocket medical costs and the loss of income during treatment are significant. The funds raised will help cover medical bills, treatment costs not covered by insurance, and everyday expenses while Maya focuses on healing.
Maya has spent years caring for our children and supporting our families. Now it’s our turn to show up for her. Every donation and share means the world. Thank you.
