Hey yall,

My name is May and I’m reaching out during one of the most difficult times of my life.

On Thursday morning, after working a long night shift, my brother and I were on the way home from work when we both fell asleep on the road. In a split second, my car swerved into the opposite lane and collided with a truck. When I opened my eyes, all I could see was this huge vehicle in front of us. The next thing I knew, we had crashed, and I was in pain, crying and calling out to check on my brother in the passenger seat, but he was not responsive.

The paramedics arrived quickly and pulled us from the wreck. As they took me away in the ambulance, all I could do was pray for both of us to survive.

I was admitted straight into the ICU. I had internal bleeding in my liver and required an urgent blood transfusion. I also sustained a fractured rib, a fractured ankle, a dislocated ankle joint, and had to get stitches on my thigh. Even now, it hurts to breathe or move.

My brother lost consciousness at the scene and suffered a kidney injury that caused internal bleeding as well. It’s been hard watching him go through this too

We’re both grateful to be alive, but our recovery will be long, painful, and expensive. Right now, I don’t have much help covering the medical bills, hospital fees, and other expenses while we’re out of work.
