Help Bring Maxy Back Home to Her Family
Our dear friend Maxy is facing an unimaginable hardship. After living in the United States virtually her entire life, she was suddenly detained and deported to Guatemala—a country she has not lived in since she was just one year old.
Maxy went in to renew her work visa, fully expecting to follow the legal process she has always respected. Instead, she was detained without warning and deported less than a week later, without ever being given the opportunity to appear before a judge. She was forced to leave behind everything she knows—her home, her community, and most painfully, her 5-year-old daughter, who remains here in the U.S. devastated and separated from her.
Maxy is now alone in a country that is unfamiliar, trying to navigate life without resources, support, or stability. She urgently needs help to:
- Secure safe housing and basic living expenses while she adjusts to an entirely new environment
- Hire a reputable immigration attorney who can help her fight for a legal pathway to return home to her family
- Cover the costs of documentation, legal filings, and travel requirements that will be part of this long, difficult process
Maxy is a loving mother, a hard worker, and a kind soul who has always contributed positively to her community. She has built her entire life here, and her daughter deserves to have her mom back home where she belongs.
We are asking for your support—no matter how small—to help Maxy stay safe, reunite with her family, and fight for the chance to return legally to the only home she has ever known.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and prayers.
