Hi, my name is Max, and I’m a trans woman living in the UK. For the past four years I’ve been on HRT, and I’m currently in the consultation stages for lower surgery with an NHS team in London. While I’m grateful for the care I’ve received so far, top surgery isn’t available on the NHS. That’s why I’m here: asking for your help to raise £9,000 so I can finally access this life changing procedure privately.

The amount I’m raising is based on the cost of breast surgery at Nuffield Health, along with consultation fees and related expenses. Every penny will go directly towards making this surgery possible.

For me, this isn’t just about surgery. It’s about finally feeling at home in my body. Living with gender dysphoria has been a daily struggle. It affects my confidence, my mental health, and how I move through the world. Top surgery will reduce my dysphoria, ease my depression and anxiety, and allow me to live with greater freedom, happiness, and authenticity.

I want to be able to look in the mirror and see myself as I truly am. I want to feel comfortable in my own skin, to show up fully in my work as a photographer, and to live without the constant weight of dysphoria holding me back.
