Hello everyone, my name is Max Monahan, and I’m a theatre student at the University of Nebraska Omaha, graduating on May 16th. Two days after that, on May 18th-June 1st, I will embark on an incredible theatre abroad experience. Theatre has been a part of my life since taking my first class at The Rose at 7 years old. I’ve spent the past 3 years studying the art of performance, storytelling, and theatre, and now I have the incredible opportunity to culminate my whole educational journey—by experiencing theatre in one of the most historically rich and vibrant theatrical cities in the world: London!

This study abroad trip through the University of Nebraska Omaha, is a once-in-a-lifetime chance for me to immerse myself in the global theatre scene, see new and ground-breaking productions, and gain firsthand insight into the rich traditions that have shaped the craft I’m so passionate about. From London's The Globe, to The National Theatre, to finding same-day tickets in the many Black Box theatre's in London, this journey will expose me to performances and techniques beyond anything I have ever experienced.

In my time at UNO, I have felt the incredible and meaningful support given by friends, family, and the theatre community within Omaha, and it has meant so much. Your generosity will help cover theatre experiences, food, and other experiences within the streets of London! With your support, I can fully embrace this educational and enriching adventure. From this trip, I hope to grow as a theatre artist and enrich myself in art that I've yet to be exposed to. Every donation is greatly appreciated!
