Help Max, the Mayor of Belmont, Get Life-Saving Surgery
Hi, we’re Chelle and Ty, and we’re raising funds for our beloved dog, Max.
Max is our 8-year-old Great Dane/Lab mix and the heart of our family. He’s known and loved by everyone on our block, earning the nickname “the Mayor of Belmont.” He brings joy to our family, friends, and neighbors every single day.
Recently, we noticed blood in Max’s urine and took him to the vet. He was treated for a UTI, but after a second infection, an ultrasound revealed that he has an enlarged prostate. A biopsy was scheduled, but during a pre-anesthesia heart echocardiogram, Max was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM), a serious heart condition. Because of this, he is at high risk for general anesthesia, and the biopsy could not be performed.
In the past few days, Max’s condition has rapidly worsened. We were referred to the K-State Emergency Veterinary Hospital, where doctors determined he urgently needs surgery to remove bladder stones and be neutered to help relieve his prostate issues. These procedures are necessary for his comfort and health, but they come with significant costs for surgery, hospitalization, and specialized care due to his heart condition.
We are asking for any help you can give to support Max during this difficult time. Every donation, share, and kind thought means more than we can express. Thank you for helping our sweet boy get the care he needs.
With gratitude,
Chelle & Ty
