First, I want to thank everyone who has been praying, checking in, and sending love to Max and our family. Your messages and encouragement have meant more than I can ever express.
As many of you know, Max is currently receiving treatment up north at Stanford Children's. We’ve been staying in the hospital for an extended period, and it looks like we’ll be here through the end of the year as he continues this long healing process. While we’re incredibly grateful that he’s in good hands, being away for so long has brought challenges that we weren’t fully prepared for.
Many family and friends have asked how they can help. Honestly, the most helpful support right now would be assistance with daily essentials — things like meals, water, Gatorade (Max drinks a lot of it), laundry detergent, and other basic necessities that keep us going each day.
Because Max is highly immunocompromised, all his meals must be freshly prepared and served hot — he can’t have food that’s been sitting or prepackaged. That’s why help with food (like DoorDash gift cards or funds toward meals) would make a huge difference for us right now.
If you’d like to help, any contribution — whether through this GoFundMe, a DoorDash, Target, or Amazon gift card — would truly mean so much.
Please know that your prayers, messages, and love are already helping us more than you know. We’re taking things one day at a time and holding onto faith and hope for Max’s healing.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for being part of this journey with us.
With love and gratitude,
Sylvia
