Cancer sucks, and no one ever hopes it will enter their lives, but sometimes it does.
For me, it's my younger brother Max. He's only 25, doesn't drink, doesn't smoke, and now suddenly he has a tumor so large he will live with it for the rest of his life.
In true middle child fashion, he just haaaad to act out to get attention, only instead of going through a rebellious phase, Max grew a cantaloupe sized lump in his stomach. Not cool man, not cool.
Max has always followed the beat of his own drum. I think growing up as the only boy with two loud and annoying sisters, he learned how to find comfort within his own company. My brother is gentle and the kindest soul you'll ever meet. If he's not fixing up old computers he's playing video games and going to see underground rock and jam bands. Max keeps you on your toes, he always has the most perfectly absurd and out of pocket jokes you'll ever hear.
As his older sister, this situation kills me because it's not a burden I can take from him (because trust me, I would if I could).
While I may not be able to take his cancer from him, I can at least help raise funds to relieve some of his medical bills.
So if you are willing or able to, and would like to help out, any assistance would be very appreciated.
