My name is Carlos Torres. I was the Optimist Little League Team Manager for 17 years. Maxi Vega was a member of the 1981 team. He was an All-Star when he was 10 and 12 years old. He was our team leader and was loved by everyone.

Maxi passed away this morning of heart failure. I am asking all my friends and ex-Optimist players to donate some money to help his mother lay him to rest. The family doesn't have the money to have him cremated. Please, all my friends that know me and knew Maxi, we need your help. He is survived by his mom, Martha; sister and brother, Natalie and Nelson. He had 3 sons. I will be arranging to have the money sent to my bank account at America First Credit Union. I will be arranging to have the funds sent to his mother Martha Singh's Bank account.
