Hi everyone! This is Tate - I’m starting this fundraiser on behalf of Max Nolan, a great friend and member of our Avison Young Minneapolis office. Those of you who know him will know this, but for those who don’t, he is a genuinely wonderful person. Kind, hardworking, great sense of humor, always willing to lend a hand, and always has a smile on his face.

Late last year, Max was diagnosed with testicular cancer. He underwent an initial surgery to remove it, and then nine weeks of chemo to try to treat an additional mass in his abdomen. Earlier this week he underwent a major surgery to remove that, and while the surgery was successful, he experienced several operative complications that will make his recovery more extensive and challenging than initially anticipated.

While he is now (hopefully) cancer-free, he has been through the wringer and has a challenging recovery ahead. Additionally, he and his new wife Kate, a teacher, will now likely face an expensive journey when they decide to start their family.

Max is not from Minnesota and his family lives in Ohio, but he is also now part of the Minnesota commercial real estate family, which I know to be close-knit, caring, and supportive. I hope you will please consider joining me now in showing Max your support and lifting part of his burden as he continues to face this challenge and move forward with strength and resolve.
