Max Fernandes is a close friend and coworker who I've known for many years. He is legal and has been a proud business owner of Stow Cafe for 15 years, serving our community with dedication and kindness. Max is the sole provider for his family, working seven days a week at the cafe and taking on a part-time job at night to ensure his loved ones are cared for. His family includes his wife, three-year-old triplet daughters with special needs, a teenage daughter, and a son he has raised as his own.

Recently, Max was unexpectedly detained by ICE on his way into work in Stow, MA due to an old court case that was resolved. The case involved another adult, not a minor, and was fully resolved. This situation has left his family in a state of uncertainty and fear, as Max is the backbone of their household. Without his daily support, his wife and children are struggling to manage both emotionally and financially.

The funds raised will go directly towards legal fees to help Max fight for his freedom and to support his family while he is detained. His wife found a lawyer who filed habius corpus paperwork the day we was detained and the lawyer is charging $7,500 which she needs to pay immediately! Every donation will help cover legal fees, essential expenses, and provide stability for his children during this difficult time. Max is a hardworking man, father, husband, and friend who has been part of this community for over 20 years.
