Support Max Feinstein's Medical and Legal Journey

To those who may not know me well, my name is Max Feinstein. I am a musician with hemophilia and am using my platform to raise awareness of this rare blood condition. I am also an audio professional and inventor among my numerous hats.

A few months ago, I booked an appointment with the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, to have my elbow examined. After 15 years of living in constant pain due to arthritis through hemophilic episodes and having doctors seemingly shrug their shoulders at me, I was recommended to see the best. It turns out that most elbow surgeons only do a handful of replacements throughout their careers, so I was recommended to see the best. What happens from there is anyone's guess.

However, because my health insurance won't cover the visit, I am obliged to lay down a $5,000 downpayment to cover the estimated costs of my evaluations, plus anything else they may decide worthwhile while I am there. While I will get a prorated return on the deposit and there are some ways to gain assistance with this hefty sum, unfortunately, none can directly assist with the downpayment due to policies on both ends, and there appears to be no financial assistance available to help offset the cost of the required travel and lodging.

In addition to my medical concerns, I have recently become called to represent the interests of my intellectual property in a way that I could not have anticipated when booking my Mayo appointment. As many of you know, legal issues can be costly, and I cannot afford to neglect this issue so that I will have legal expenses on top of my medical expenses. This naturally causes problems when money earmarked for projects already in motion/bills/necessities

This is an overwhelming combination of considerations on top of our complicated lives, so I am hoping for some considerations as I navigate the quarter ahead and beyond.

Any contributions are deeply appreciated, and all monies raised will be used to help offset the above obligations and other things usually handled by the funds they tied up while leaving a small cushion should any other surprises come my way. I would be happy to do audio or coaching work as a show of gratitude for your generosity and to make it feel like I am not simply asking without reciprocation.
