There are moments in life that change everything.

For our nephews, Max and Michael, ages 21 and 23, that moment came with the heartbreaking loss of both of their parents. The victim of a murder-suicide, our beloved sister, daughter, and friend, Laurie Talbo Wildt, was taken from us far too soon. Now, our boys are now facing an unimaginable task of moving forward without their mom, dad and house they lived in.

As a family, we are committed to surrounding them with love, guidance, and support as they begin rebuilding their lives. While we can't take away their loss, we can help ease some of the financial burdens that come with starting over.

Unfortunately, they were left without and there are no financial resources or benefits available from their parents' passing. Everything ahead—from establishing new households to managing everyday living expenses—must now be built from the ground up.

We're asking our family, friends, classmates, neighbors, and everyone whose life was touched by Laurie to help us give these two young men a stronger foundation for what comes next.

Funds raised will go directly toward helping with essential expenses, including:
• Legal and associated fees to settle estate matters
• Groceries and household necessities
• Utility bills
• Establishing new homes
• Transportation and everyday living expenses
• Unexpected funeral and burial costs that arise during this transition

The next chapter of their lives will undoubtedly look different than the one they imagined. As they work through the emotional weight of losing both parents, they'll also be making difficult decisions about where to live, how to move forward, and how to build a future that now looks very different.

If you knew Laurie, you know how deeply she cared about her sons and her family. We know she would want her sons to be surrounded by people willing to lift them up during this incredibly difficult time. That is what this fundraiser is about—not simply providing financial assistance but reminding them they are supported by a community that cares.

Whether you're family, a lifelong friend, a former classmate, a coworker, or someone who simply wants to help, every contribution makes a difference. If you're unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser with others is another meaningful way to support them. The funds raised go directly to an account set up for Michael and Max.

On behalf of our entire family, thank you for your kindness, support, generosity, and prayers. Your support will help ease the burdens of today while giving Max and Michael the opportunity to focus on healing, rebuilding, and moving forward with hope.

Services will occur sometime in the fall. We will update her obituary here as it becomes available.

We are deeply grateful for every donation, every share, and every expression of support.
