Hello, my name is Mawutor. In June 2024, my life was turned upside down when I was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer. My initial feeling was one of disbelief and denial. It was difficult to accept the diagnosis, and I was overwhelmed by the fight that would lay ahead. I immediately turned to my faith which kept me going and I was encouraged to see my test results start to improve. As fate would have it, however, I was hit by a renewed onslaught of the disease when in June 2025, the cancer spread to the lining (peritoneum) of the abdominal cavity causing a buildup of fluid (ascites) in my abdomen. Despite this, I continue to trust my God for a miracle. I am convinced, more than ever, that I will beat this lung cancer!

To overcome the cancer, I am humbly requesting your help. Unfortunately, my medical bills are mounting. I have frequent visits to the oncologist, hematologist, urologist, cardiologist and a slew of other specialists. I have already had one Ghamma Knife radiation and multiple doses of chemotherapy. I am also undergoing weekly procedures to drain fluid buildup caused by the ascites. In addition to this, there are various tests and scans to check the progress of treatment, all of which are very costly.

Finally, I require assistance with day-to-day expenses, as I am no longer able to work. I am also on a strict diet. Funds raised will go directly toward medical treatment, medication, transportation and living expenses (rent, electricity, water, telephone, food, etc.).

The need is critical. With your help, I can continue treatment and focus my energy on the biggest fight of my life! Together, through your generosity, I have the best chance of beating lung cancer. Any amount, big or small, would be sincerely appreciated and would have a tremendous impact.
