Hi there, I’m Cass, Mavis’s mom and we’re from Austin, TX. Mavis has been my best friend and emotional support animal since 2016. She recently celebrated her tenth birthday surrounded by friends and family and was completely healthy and happy. Unfortunately during the winter storms, Mavis began having focal seizures, but this time they left lasting damage- Mavis can no longer stand for long as she topples over and is overwhelmed by vertigo, she cannot tell where sound is coming from, her eyesight is heavily impaired, and she’s confused.

She was taken to her regular veterinarian, an emergency vet (AVES) last weekend and now has a neurologist appointment this upcoming Thursday.

I am raising funds for diagnostic imaging (MRI and/or CT) to rule out brain tumors or vascular events and so that we can work towards getting her a treatment plan and seeing the best specialists.

Anyone who has met Mavis before knows how much of a joy she is and how much she adores people. She has been nothing but a light in my life and I can’t imagine losing her.
