Hi everyone Im Jennifer! Im an Aunt to a pretty amazing 11 year old named Maverick. He is the spunkiest, smartest, little weirdo I know. Maverick is Mr Congeliality if there ever was one. He loves science, robots, Harry Potter, Legos, annoying his big sister Ayane, camping and all the outdoorsy things. But this isn't a dating profile...so let me get to the point.

Our guy is incredibly sick. Within the past couple of days, we have discovered he's got cancer. And its an aggressive one. He went from being our healthy kid to cancer pt within 4 days. So to say we have been on a roller-coaster of emotions is an understatement. I'm writing this story just the way Maverick would. I want you to know he's in the best spirts, and we intend to keep it like that. He's strong and ready to fight, and we will be right by his side. No crying, no sadness. But plenty of jokes and laughter( it is the best medicine after all) But he definitely needs some help.

1. Kristen his mom (my sister) is taking an unpaid leave of absence from her job because he needs to have round the clock care right now for the unforseen future.

2. Any travel, or medical expenses that may come up anytime soon.

3. Or anything to keep this guy's spirits just where they need to be.

4. Something to relieve the stress off of Luis and Kristen with bills and everyday expenses to focus on Maverick and his health.

We ask just respect our wishes for his care. And please understand we are not meaning to be rude or dismissive. But we are making the best decisions that we and Maverick are agreeing on. If you want or can help please do. If you cannot, please just share his story. Let him know how many people love and care for him! But we definitely have more fundraisers on the way!
