Campaign Update – As Mauro’s Trial Approaches (March 16)

Dear friends and community,

Thanks to your incredible support over the past months, Mauro has been able to face this difficult chapter with dignity, stability, and care. Your generosity has helped cover legal costs, basic living expenses, and the healing support he needed to regain strength during this long and uncertain process.

Now, as we approach the final stage of this journey, with Mauro’s trial scheduled for March 16, we are reaching out once again to the community that has already carried him so far.

As the legal process has continued to unfold, the journey has taken longer than we initially expected, and we are now approaching the final stage with a clearer understanding of the remaining costs ahead.

When we first launched this campaign, we were working with estimates for both the legal expenses and the length of the process. Like many legal situations, things have moved more slowly than hoped, and the months since then have required ongoing support for Mauro while he has been unable to work or leave the Czech Republic.

The funds raised so far have gone directly toward supporting Mauro through this time, including:

•⁠ ⁠Legal costs related to his case

•⁠ ⁠Basic living expenses while he has been unable to work

•⁠ ⁠Self-care and therapeutic support, helping him heal and reconnect with his genuine self during this difficult chapter

Your generosity has truly made a difference. It allowed Mauro to move through this time with greater stability and to focus on the healing and inner work that has been so important for him during this process. Most of all, it has helped him feel deeply loved and supported by the community around him.

As we approach the trial and the final steps of this process, we are once again asking for the support of the community to help bring this journey to completion.

We are hoping to raise an additional $20,000 AUD to help cover the remaining costs ahead, including:

•⁠ ⁠Remaining legal expenses through the end of the trial

•⁠ ⁠A possible court fine

•⁠ ⁠Flight costs for Mauro to return to Brazil

•⁠ ⁠Basic support for his first weeks back home so he can begin a new chapter with stability

This has been a long and challenging journey, but we are now finally approaching the moment where this chapter can come to a close.
