Update: my poor beloved Newphew has gone to heaven and our focus is now on raising funds to give this great human a funeral he deserves!! For ever in our hearts and minds
My nephew Mauricio was in a serious scooter accident in San Bernardino on 3/29/26 at 2 am near the orange show. He is currently in the ICU at Loma Linda hospital with internal bleeding, a skull fracture, and swelling. This has been a sudden and overwhelming experience for our family, and we are still trying to understand exactly what happened that night. There is an ongoing investigation as to what happened.
Mauricio is loved deeply by his mother, sister, and three brothers. He is a beloved uncle who helps take care of his niece and nephews. The funds raised will go directly toward his medical costs, which are already adding up quickly. His mother has had to stop working so she can be at the hospital with him every day, which has made things even more challenging financially. He has a long road ahead of him, and we want to make sure he gets the best care possible and that his mom can stay by his side without worrying about bills piling up.
