Hi, my name is Maurice Vargas. I’m 22 years old, and I’ve been chasing one dream since I was 4 years old — becoming a professional soccer player.

This journey hasn’t been easy, but it’s one I’ve embraced with everything I have. At 15, I was honored to be selected to play in the Welsh Cup in Wales — an experience that pushed me even harder to pursue this path. I later went on to study at York St. John University in England, where I balanced academics with high-level training and competition.

Over the years, I’ve played semi-pro for the Xolos Academy in New Jersey, and traveled to places like Mexico and Spain, always working to sharpen my skills, gain experience, and keep the dream alive. Every step, every sacrifice, every mile has been worth it.

Now, I’ve been given the opportunity I’ve worked for my whole life — the chance to go pro.

But to take this next step, I need your help. Professional-level training, travel, and living expenses add up quickly, and I want to be fully focused on performing at my best — not worrying about how I’ll afford to get there.
