On September 12, 2025, our beloved Mr. Maurice Obare Owidhi passed away in Kenya under tragic and suspicious circumstances. As we grieve, our family currently has no access to his funds and his children are spread across Egypt, Spain, and the United States. We’re asking for your help to bring his children home and give him the dignified farewell he deserves. Any amount truly makes a difference—thank you in advance.

Our Story

Greetings to all our loved ones, on behalf of the Obare family.

Mr. Maurice Obare Owidhi was born and raised in the small village of Kobare. At just 15, he bravely set out alone to Nairobi to build a better life. The 4th of 11 siblings, he grew into a hard-working mechanic, engineer, and professor, generously sharing his skills and knowledge. He served his community not only with his hands but with his heart—mentoring youth, organizing support during funerals and tragedies, and leading as chairman of a community welfare organization.

He was a devoted husband, a loving father of seven, and a proud grandfather of six. To us, he was our anchor—steady, generous, and wise.

On September 12, 2025, we lost him suddenly. As the circumstances of his death remain under investigation, our family has been locked out of his accounts, leaving us unable to cover urgent expenses. Meanwhile, his children are scattered around the world—in Egypt, Spain, and America—and we need to bring everyone back to Kenya to honor him together and lay him to rest with respect.

With gratitude,
The Obare Family
