My name is Maureen and I am 72 and my dog is Tee-Doe. My income consist of social security. I currently live in San Jose, California. At the beginning of March my landlord gave me a termination of tenancy so his grandson can move in. I am medically disabled or I would be working. I have been able to pay my rent etc. up to this point. I don't have money left at the end of the month. If it wasn't for meals on wheels I wouldn't be able to eat. I don't have a deposit so I can move. Everything is so expensive in the Bay Area so I applied in smaller towns outside of Santa Clara County. I have finally found a home but I have to come up with the deposit, rent and the move. If I can't get any help with this I will become homeless. I only have until the end of April to move. I am trying to be out by the end of March so I don't have to pay rent in my current location. The place I found is about 3 hours away.

I am scared to live in my car and I don't think I could make it under those circumstances.

I know that all of this is my responsibility but if you can find it in your heart to help me I would be eternally grateful. Anything would certainly get me closer to my new life in a new town. I appreciate you taking the time to read my story.
