UPDATE*** thank you everyone for the kind donations. Maureen’s daughter lost her fight last night and passed away. We will continue to support her any ways that we can. Our thoughts and prayers are with Maureen.

My name is Marissa, I am a manager at the Seekonk stop and shop raising money for one of our associates. Maureen Medeiros has experienced many hardships in the past year after her daughter was diagnosed with cancer. Maureen is the only family her daughter has, and she has been supporting the two of them while only working part time in order to provide her daughter care. Maureen has been by her daughter’s side for multiple surgeries, rounds of chemo, and hospital trips. Her daughter’s battle still continues as they recently found cancer spread to her liver. Maureen is unable to work more than 15 hours a week trying to be home with her daughter to give her the care she needs.
