Support Maura's Journey to Recovery

as you may all know my mom Maura is the brightest light in the room. She always goes out of her way to help others even when she is also in need. Right now she is going through a very difficult time and we are asking for every one’s support and prayers.

on Saturday June 29th my mom called me because she was experiencing left sided weakness and facial drooping. In fear that she was having a stroke we took her to the emergency room where they ran a CT scan and an MRI. She was also told she needed to stay over night for observation. We were told that it could be Bell’s palsy so they treated it as such. But her CT scan showed changes in the vascularity of her brain and was told she cannot over exert herself due to being high risk for stroke due to all of this she is unable to work doing what she loves to do. My mom has been a hairdresser for over 25 years and hearing that she is unable to work is very hard for her. Doctors do not know when she will get full strength back and facial mobility but due to not being able to work we ask for her friends and family’s support during these difficult times. Medical bills have begun to pile up especially with no insurance so anything helps! Funds will be used for my moms medical bills as well as anything she may need during these difficult times

El sábado 29 de junio mi mamá me llamó porque estaba experimentando debilidad en el lado izquierdo y caída facial. Por temor a que estuviera sufriendo un derrame cerebral, la llevamos a la sala de emergencias donde le hicieron una tomografía computarizada y una resonancia magnética. También le dijeron que necesitaba pasar la noche en observación. Nos dijeron que podría ser parálisis de Bell y lo trataron como tal. Pero su tomografía computarizada mostró cambios en la vascularidad de su cerebro y le dijeron que no puede esforzarse demasiado debido a que tiene un alto riesgo de sufrir un derrame cerebral. Debido a todo esto, no puede trabajar haciendo lo que le encanta hacer. Mi mamá ha sido peluquera durante más de 25 años y escuchar que no puede trabajar es muy difícil para ella. Los médicos no saben cuándo recuperará toda su fuerza y ​​movilidad facial, pero debido a que no puede trabajar, pedimos el apoyo de sus amigos y familiares durante estos momentos difíciles. Las facturas médicas han comenzado a acumularse, especialmente sin seguro, ¡cualquier cosa ayuda!
