Support Mau Ha's Community and Memorial Service
Donation protected
Our dear friend and loved one, Mau Ha, passed away on June 15, 2025. Mau was a Vietnamese trans man who took pride in his identity as an organizer and artist bringing together communities. He is well-known on O’ahu to the punk scene as a courageous and outspoken performer, to the queer community as a true friend and someone who stood for others at every intersection, and within labor and organizing work as a co-chair of the Democratic Socialists of O’ahu, who sought to unite his comrades under a banner of revolution and revolutionary care.
Mau’s family needs support in order to honor him through a memorial service, and the more funds that we can raise, the more capacity there will be to open the service to the community that loved Mau so dearly. Mau’s treasured legacy deserves to be commemorated and his family time to rest and pay him their respects in this time of unmeasurable loss.
At the time of setting up this fundraiser, there is so far no determined goal or date for a service as Mau’s community has no idea how much we can generate. This will be updated over the course of the fundraiser as we get a better sense of the costs and time frame.
However, we hope to reflect his impact through a memorial as well as through several community initiatives and will commemorate him regardless. Please donate what you can and show your loved ones aloha each day, fighting for a better future in the great memory and legacy of Mau as a friend and fighter. The best way to honor his memory is to continue his fight for the working class and communities marginalized under racial capitalism and imperialism, every day.
