Hi friends,

I’m reaching out to seek support for our dear friend Matty, who recently suffered the heartbreaking loss of his cat, Tony. Matty rescued Tony 14 years ago, and they were inseparable. Tragically, Tony experienced heart failure and passed away in Matty’s arms on the evening of December 12.

In addition to the grief of losing his beloved companion, Matty is now facing approximately $1,500 in unexpected veterinary bills related to Tony’s emergency care on the day of his passing.

This fundraiser was created to help ease that financial burden so Matty can grieve without the added weight of veterinary debt. Any amount helps, and even if the full goal isn’t reached, what’s raised will still make a real difference.

Matty is one of the kindest and most generous people I've ever met, always going out of his way to help others. He would never ask for this help himself, but I know it would mean the world to him to feel supported by his friends during this difficult time.

Matty doesn’t know this is happening – it’s meant as a surprise. The funds raised will be collected by me (Lindsay) and given directly to him as a single lump sum to help cover Tony’s veterinary expenses.
