10/20/24 update!

my uncle started physical therapy recently and is making incredible progress! He will be discharged this week and continue care at home with his IV medications and physical therapy weekly. Matt is incredibly brave and resilient. Thank you all for your continuous prayers and support through this whole process.

my name is Alex and I am creating this for my uncle Matt who was hospitalized a few weeks ago for complications with his back and had to quickly go into surgery because he suddenly lost all feeling and mobility in his legs. Doctors found a severe infection in his spinal cord.

my uncle is the strongest man I know and it kills me and our whole family to see him this way.

He has a long road ahead of him. Physical therapy and a long stay in the hospital to regain strength and his return to health.
