Hey everyone,

Our dear friend Matt recently had a serious climbing accident in Yosemite and had to be rescued by helicopter. He suffered multiple broken ribs and punctured lungs, and while the injuries were serious, we’re incredibly relieved to share that he’s now out of the hospital and on the mend.

Recovery is going to take a few months, and in the meantime, he won’t be able to work. As many of you know, Matt runs his own tree care business—he’s constantly in motion, whether it’s up a rope in the canopy or halfway up a granite wall. Sitting still isn’t exactly in his nature, but right now rest and healing come first.

We’re putting this fundraiser together to help with the costs of recovery—medical bills, rent, and keeping things steady while he regains his strength.

Matt’s always been the guy who shows up for others. If you’ve climbed with him, worked with him, or shared a campfire story with him, you know how much heart he brings to everything he does. Now it’s our turn to show up for him.

Any amount helps, and even just sharing this can make a difference.
