In Memory of Matt

Right now, Matt’s hanging out at UPenn Hospital waiting for the all-important call: “We’ve got your liver!” Until that happens, he’s staying put under the watch of an incredible medical team.

Dorothy is right there with him in Philly, doing the ultimate juggling act of being by Matt’s side, caring for their two kids from afar, and trying to keep life running smoothly back home. And since Matt’s out of work and Dorothy’s on a leave of absence, the usual paychecks have hit pause.

That means everyday costs (temporary housing near the hospital, meals, parking, gas for trips back and forth) are going to pile up...quickly. And once Matt gets his new liver, they’ll be making regular twice-a-week treks to Philly for follow-up care.

We want to give them breathing room so Dorothy can focus on Matt’s recovery and their family...not on counting every dollar for gas or figuring out how to pay for another night away from home.
