Life can be incredibly unpredictable, and sometimes, it throws challenges at us that we couldn't have imagined.
On September 18th, the unimaginable happened to our brother, Matt—a stroke that left him fighting for his life in the ICU for six long days. During this time, doctors discovered he is in kidney failure (both of his kidneys) and has a small hole in his heart. This means Matt not only needs ongoing dialysis treatments but also requires visits to multiple specialists & physical therapy as he awaits the gift of a kidney transplant. Matt recently had heart surgery and is in recovery right now, thank you all for the thoughts & prayers!
Matt is a FIGHTER, having already triumphed over cancer (Hodgkin's Lymphoma) at the age of 21. During that time, is when he found out he had Polycystic Kidney Disease (a genetic disorder that we were told would not affect him until later in life).
It's time for us, his friends, family, and community, to rally around him once again. While Matt's resilience is unshakeable, the journey ahead is daunting, and the financial strain from medical treatments, everyday expenses, and time lost from work adds to the challenges he faces.
We're launching this campaign to lighten the financial burden on Matt so that he can concentrate on what truly matters: healing and securing a donor match. Every donation, no matter its size, brings us one step closer to ensuring Matt receives the care he needs.
There are multiple ways you can make a difference:
• Donate - No contribution is too small, and every bit helps.
• SHARE - Please share this page with everyone you know—spreading awareness is vital.
• Get Tested - If you feel moved, consider getting tested to see if you can be a living donor. Your generosity could give the gift of life. - For more information about the living donor kidney program call Washington University and Barnes-Jewish Transplant Center, or visit their website at https://www.barnesjewish.org/Medical-Services/Transplant/Kidney-Transplant
Matt is an incredible father, son, brother, uncle, friend, and coworker whose humor, laughter, and warmth could light up any room. He has a HUGE HEART. Let's show him the love and support he has always given to others. Please join us in standing with Matt as we navigate this journey together. All funds raised will directly cover his medical, living, and transplant-related costs.
We cannot express enough how much your support means to us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for standing with Matt in this fight. Together, we are #WebbStrong.
We're behind you all the way, Matt—you've got this, AGAIN!
We love you, brother!
