Let's get Matt D. a new set of chompers!
I started this to help Matt and reward his selflessness and positivity in spite of some misfortune in his life. At age 14, Matt was working in a mineshaft and was caught by an errant blast. He barely survived. He also lost most of his teeth and has dealt with that the rest of his life.
I have a bunch of chipped front teeth and I need to get them fixed now and again, and while waiting to get them fixed I am extremely self-conscious of them. It changes how much I want to appear in public and makes me think of what my wife is seeing when we come together for a kiss.
Mine is a simple fix and usually gets done within a few weeks, but Matt's case is different. He recently had a bridge broken that had been in use since he was 18. Now he isn't in a position to get a new one and says his priorities financially are elsewhere, but I've only known him a little while and I can tell how much it is on his mind. I ordered us some lunch and only after did I think about how hard it must be to eat some foods without incisors and hope what I had ordered didn't cause him problems.
I'd really like to help Matt out and get him new permanent teeth. My starting goal is $30,000. Pricing (excluding extractions) for a single fixed full arch implant starts at $15,000; full snap-in implant dentures are about 60% of that. Any amount over would be for an eye exam and new glasses to replace a pair that were also recently broken.
Matt is a hardworking father and grandfather and I can tell he cares about helping the people in his community. Please consider donating to a deserving man.
