Support Matt's Healing Journey and Family Needs

Hello everyone. My name is Nicole. I am an RN at the VA. I have a friend and coworker, Matt Simonis, who is an exceptional employee and is wonderful with our veterans. Matt is a single dad of two young children, Lola and Lenny.

Matt has recently obtained an injury that is causing him severe nerve and neck pain as well as left arm pain, numbness and immobility. This is causing him the inability to work. Treatments, thus far, have been ineffective, and he now requires surgery.

Matt has currently been out of work for the last month. His recovery time after surgery may require six months to one year. Matt is in need of some financial assistance to help pay for medical bills and monthly expenses. Anything you can do to help will be greatly appreciated.
