Hi everyone,

My name is Daniella Beccaria, and I’m fundraising on behalf of my brother, Matthew Beccaria, who was diagnosed with stage 3 gastroesophageal cancer earlier this year.

Matthew has been undergoing chemotherapy in Medford while preparing for a major surgery to remove the tumor in Portland, over four hours away from home. He will need to stay in Portland for at least a month during this time to recover and receive ongoing care.

As you can imagine, this has placed an immense emotional and financial strain on Matthew, his wife Aiko, and their young son Ryo. Between travel, temporary housing, medical expenses, and time away from work, the costs are quickly adding up during an already overwhelming time.

Although this is difficult to ask of our family and community, we are seeking support in helping ease their burden so Matthew and his family can focus on getting him back to full health.
