On December 23rd, while driving home for Christmas, Matt was in a serious car accident that resulted in his car being completely totaled. He was taken by ambulance to Howard County Hospital outside of Baltimore and treated for injuries to his wrist, shoulder, ribs, and collarbone. He is currently in a brace/splint and arm sling, and is meeting with an orthopedic specialist and physical therapist this week to assess his injuries and plan next steps for recovery.
While he was beyond fortunate to avoid more serious harm, the coming weeks will be physically and financially challenging.
Matt is unable to work for the next several weeks while he recovers. Being out of work has meant a sudden loss of income, and although his medical care is being addressed, day-to-day expenses like rent, utilities, groceries, and basic necessities continue.
We’re asking friends and family for a little help to get him through this recovery period. Any contribution will go directly toward essentials while Matt focuses on healing and getting back on his feet.
Thank you so much for the love, support, and kindness.
