Support Matthew's Urgent Moving Expenses

Hello there! My name is Matthew, though people know me online as Flame Folf!

I’m a 24-year-old college student just trying to survive the unfair obstacles life throws my way.

Currently, as much as it’s difficult to ask for help from anyone, much less bother anyone with my issues… I’ve reached a problem that is a little too difficult to solve in the short time I have.

As of currently, I need to somehow come up with around almost $2k in about 2-3 weeks.

$500 for the other half of this month's rent, next month's rent ($918), and then the deposit and first month's rent for the new place I have to move to. Oh geez, that’s actually more than 2k now that I think about it. I know my half of rent will be around $800, but including the deposit and any other moving fees, man that’s like actually closer to 3k.

You may be wondering why I have to move and why I don’t have the money to actually do so. Well, originally I was living with a roomie and things just kind of didn’t work out between us and we didn’t click. So he decided we should find new roomies and since I wasn’t the primary of the apartment, I’d have to leave towards the end of the lease (April). Now, originally this wouldn’t be a problem as I get living expenses from college and the hope was me having a job would build upon that to make it easier to move. But there were two problems there. For one, the job was a restaurant job and I basically ended up screwed because the place had renovations the first 2 weeks after I was hired and then proceeded to play with my hours after practically driving me insane to the point I started getting some pretty nasty migraines (the ones where I’m bedridden, see TV static, and practically half my body goes numb sometimes. I really need to get those checked out tbh, but I need insurance for that >.> Well, one thing at a time). But I was making about an average of like $1-300 per paycheck which wasn’t gonna cut it and eventually due to the migraines and the stress the job put on my health, I kinda ended up with no job again. Was hoping to get another job but wasn’t chosen after an interview.

I’m currently working towards applying to more places but I just don’t have the time to make up the money I need to move. It’s a lot harder in the fact that my unfortunate situation is not only screwing me but also the new roomie and old roomie. Everything was fine beforehand but I seem to just end up in some pretty unlucky spots.

I don’t have family to really rely on as they haven’t really come to aid any other time I’ve been in these rough spots either. Asking my friends directly has become anxiety-inducing and those who do want to help are in their own situations. And realistically, who’s going to be able to just dish out like 3k like it’s candy? So I’m sitting here against my better judgment, swallowing my pride, and asking for any kind of assistance.

I’d appreciate any help I can get. Come May I should be fine again as I’ll get a living expense check from school and more time to figure out a job. Till then I ask that if you can help, I’d appreciate anything. Even if just a share so I can just get myself settled.
