Hello, my name is Matthew Arrowood. I am 36 years old, and I have struggled for years with a genetic tooth development disorder that has resulted in the wear, breakage, decay, and loss of my teeth.

It has been almost 10 years since the last time I smiled with my teeth in a photo. I have been in a relationship for 3 years, and we recently got engaged in May. But before we start planning for the wedding, I feel I need to take care of my teeth first. She has never seen me with a healthy smile, and I want her (as well as my family and friends) to see me smiling for the big day. The damage to my teeth has gotten to the point that all my teeth will need to be extracted, and I will need full-mouth dentures.

After extensive research and consultations with dental specialists, I have chosen the most affordable option I could find to improve my oral health, and my confidence: Fixed Removable Implant Anchored Teeth or Fixed Removable Dentures.

Our goal is set to help bring down the total cost for lower monthly payments. For all visits, surgeries, and implants the total cost is $27,795. We do not expect the full amount, as it is a large price tag, but these anchored dentures really are the best option for my needs and quality of life. Only 20% of people are eligible for full upper implants, and luckily, I am one of the 20%. The implants will be life-changing when it comes to eating, speaking, and smiling with confidence. Any amount you might consider donating will really make a big difference, and we truly appreciate any help you are willing to give.

If you’d like to support me in getting the dental care that I need to restore my smile, please donate whatever you feel comfortable giving. I plan to start my treatment in July. Thank you!

Why Fixed Removable Dentures?

Full dental implants are more expensive than traditional dentures, but they have ALOT more benefits. Because I’m only 36, implants provide the best, long-term option for me to have a higher quality of life for the years ahead.
  • Greater Stability & Comfort: Implants are securely anchored in the jawbone (no messy and inconvenient denture adhesives), providing stability and comfort.
  • Improved Chewing & Speech: Anchored dentures do not slip or shift when eating or speaking to allow for more efficient chewing (which results in better digestion abilities and nutrient absorption) and clearer speech (which allows for confident and comfortable communication).
  • No Dietary Restrictions: Implants are strong and secure to chew and bite the same as natural teeth, so it is safe for me to eat anything, including chewy and hard foods.
  • Jawbone Preservation: Implants stimulate the jawbone, helping to prevent bone loss, deterioration, or atrophy; preserve jaw density and strength; and maintain facial shape and structure.
  • More Natural Appearance & Feel: Implants are designed to look, feel, and function like natural teeth, providing a more natural smile. A stable, natural-looking smile will help me restore self-esteem, self-confidence in social and professional settings, and the ability to laugh, talk, and smile without hesitation.
  • Longevity & Durability: Implants can last a lifetime, offering a long-term solution for missing teeth. They are permanent and durable (without needing to be repaired or replaced), which will provide me with long-term cost savings and peace of mind.
  • Enhanced Oral Health & Maintenance: Implants restore oral health so I can feel better, chew better, live better, and enjoy all the benefits that come with good oral health. They are also easier to maintain than traditional dentures.

My Treatment Plan (Photos Included)

The time frame for the Fixed Removable Dentures from start to finish is around 10 months. I have been to my initial consultation already, where I received the quote for implant anchored teeth that snap in for stability and snap out for cleaning. It is 60% more affordable than other options, and the removable dentures cost less than the non-removable ones. These are my next steps:

  • Comprehensive Exam & Initial Impressions: I will design my smile.
  • Surgery (6-8 weeks after Comprehensive Exam): There will be two surgeries with sedation. The first surgery will be 12 lower extractions and 4 lower implants. After 8 to 10 weeks of healing, I will go for the second surgery of 16 upper extractions and 6 upper implants. Basically, I will have teeth removed, implants installed and leave with new fitted teeth.
  • Post-Op Comfort Visits: 72 hours after each surgery.
  • Implant Check (4 months post-surgery): I will receive the final Snap-In Dentures.
  • Lifetime Guarantee with Follow-Up Visits: Adjustments and proper follow-up care as recommended.
