Hello, we’ve had a huge change in our daily life activities. The flu went through our house like a tornado. Matthew got the worst of it. On April 26 (Sunday), he started to feel pretty bad with a fever, weakness, etc. He couldn’t make it to work Monday and went in Tuesday not feeling well at all. Come Wednesday night, he started having really hard trouble breathing. Thursday morning, he went to the walk-in clinic because he couldn’t do much without being out of breath. They gave him an inhaler and some steroids to help. He fought through all of Thursday and all of Friday being out of breath and caring for our 2 year old boy (chance) while I (his husband) was at work. Saturday morning came, and I was headed to work. He then called me and asked if I could stay home because he couldn’t get the energy nor catch his breath to do anything. I went home, took him to the ER, and here we are. His oxygen levels were dropping a little bit, so they put him on oxygen, along with his blood pressure being high and heart rate also high. I’m scared, he’s scared, I’m trying to stay strong for him but it is hard! We are not ones to ask for help, but I need it. I don’t know how long we will be here, but as of now, we have no discharge date. As many of you know, ER bills aren’t cheap even with the best insurance. I’m scared to see how much this bill is going to be. We never put our personal information out there because it is our business, so please respect that. I really don’t want to do this, but I’ve seen it help so many families. Anything helps, thank you.
