Barron County ATV Accident

Dear friends and family,

On May 12th, at approximately 6 PM, authorities received a call involving an ATV accident just north of Dallas WI. Investigation shows that a 16 yr old lost control causing both occupants to be thrown from the ATV. The driver of the ATV was brought in by ambulance and sustained non-life threating injuries. Matthew, the 19 yr old, who was a passenger, was flown to Mayo in Eau Claire and was admitted to the CCU unit where he remains today, June 7th. Matthew sustained a severe brain injury and bleeding of the brain, fractured skull, injuries to both lungs, a lacerated liver, infection in his chest cavity from a punctured lung and multiple bruises. He has also undergone 3 surgeries since that terrible day.
