My son, Matthew McFall, is a national title holder and top-ranked weightlifter who has officially qualified—alongside a few of his teammates—to compete at the 2026 USA Weightlifting National Championships in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This is an incredible honor and a huge step forward in his athletic journey. Matthew has worked tirelessly for years to reach this level—training relentlessly, pushing through challenges, and proving himself among the best in the nation. This past December, he brought home a gold medal at a USA Weightlifting Olympic competition in Daytona Beach—where he didn’t just win, he dominated—breaking six state records in a single event. Since then, he has continued that momentum by breaking additional school and state records, proving he belongs among the top athletes in the country. His ultimate goals are to compete on the world stage and one day pursue the Olympics, and this opportunity brings him one step closer to that dream.
However, because this competition falls in the transition period between high school and college athletics, all expenses must be covered out of pocket. This includes airfare, hotel accommodations, registration fees, food, and travel-related costs. As a single mother currently recovering from a serious heart condition, I haven't been able to work for some time. While I am doing everything I can, the financial burden of sending Matthew to this national competition is significant. Still, I refuse to let finances stand in the way of an opportunity he has worked so hard to earn.
We would be so grateful for any support to help Matthew seize this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Your generosity will help him represent our community and inspire others with his dedication and achievements.
