Support Matthew's Heart Transplant Journey

Matthew and Rebecca's bond is a unique blend of romantic partnership, friendship, and mutual support. Both have faced significant life challenges, including Matthew's two open-heart surgeries, stroke, and heart attack in 2022, followed by a heart failure diagnosis in 2023.

In 2024, the couple encountered numerous difficulties, including Matthew's prolonged hospitalization of over 80 days at DHMC. He is currently undergoing 24/7 infusions and has received an ICD implant. Matthew is now on the waiting list for a heart transplant, with his medical team estimating a 6- to 9-month inpatient wait at the Boston hospital.

Unfortunately, Tufts Medical Center does not allow Rebecca or family members to stay with Matthew, necessitating the rental of an apartment or nearby hotel, which poses significant financial burdens, including daily parking costs of $40.
