Our family’s world was turned upside down when our beloved Matthew was involved in a sudden boating accident that resulted in a severe, traumatic brain injury. He is young, strong, and currently fighting every day in intensive care as he begins the long road to recovery.

Those that know Matthew know that he is a kind, thoughtful, smart and driven person with many passions including fishing, cars, weight lifting and baseball.

Matthew Lyskawa is a graduate of Williamsville North, class of ‘21, and University at Buffalo, class of ‘25 with a bachelors in Computer Science.

While his prognosis will take time to fully understand, it’s clear that the journey ahead will involve extensive medical care, rehabilitation, and ongoing support. As a family, we are focused on being by his side and giving him every possible chance to heal.

We are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support we’ve already received.
