Support Matthew's Critical Medical Journey
Donation protected
Hello family and friends,
On October 31st, Matthew suffered a severe medical emergency, experiencing a stroke and went into cardiac arrest. His wife was able to perform CPR on him until paramedics arrived to intubate him at his home. Upon arrival, doctors discovered a brain bleed, and he was immediately admitted to the ICU for intensive care.
Matthew is currently comatose and being monitored for a range of critical issues, including intracranial pressure, blood pressure, and oxygen levels. He has sustained some damage to his kidneys and liver due to the lack of blood flow, and medical teams are keeping a vigilant eye on his health.
To monitor and mange his condition, Matthew underwent a procedure called a ventriculostomy, which allows doctors to drain cerebrospinal fluid and closely monitor his brain pressure. He is also being treated for aspiration pneumonia with antibiotics, and is currently on a ventilator to assist with his breathing. Although his blood pressure is being managed with medication, it continues to fluctuate, and is on multiple medications to stabilize his condition and address the infection.
As Matthew remains in critical condition, we are reaching out to our community for support. Any donation, no matter the amount, will go directly towards his medical expenses, ongoing care, and helping to provide some financial relief during this incredibly difficult time. Your generosity will allow Matthew to focus on healing without the added stress of mounting medical bills.
We are deeply grateful for any support you can offer - whether through a donation, a share, or a prayer. Your kindness means more to us than words can even express.
Thank you for taking the time to read Matthew's story, and for standing by us during this challenging journey.
With heartfelt appreciation,
